Dress for Success Lackawanna and Benco Dental co-hosted the career event in downtown Scranton on Wednesday.
SCRANTON, Pennsylvania. A job fair was held in Lackawanna County on Wednesday to help people get back into the workplace.
Dress for Success Lackawanna and Benco Dental co-hosted the Steamtown Market Career Event.
Members of the Benco Dental Women in Business Committee offered hiring tips and interview best practices.
“What we’re really arming them with is information on what questions to ask the employer because with everything that’s happened with the pandemic, obviously jobs have changed, roles have changed, some people can working from home, some people So there are a lot of questions that potential employees need to know they should ask potential employers about how they handle these situations, ”said Mary Ann Iezzi, Executive Director of Dress for Success.
Benco wants to fill 200 positions in various departments. Representatives were therefore on hand to discuss with potential candidates.
“We really want people to know that we’re not just talking about dentistry. We have great positions open in IT, DC, supply chain, design, equipment technology, so we really wanted to reach out to the community, let them know who we are, and that we are here to grow our family, ”said Elizabeth Warrick of Benco Dental.
